Buranovskiye Babushki ((ロシア語:Бурановские Бабушки), ; , ''Brangurtısь Pesjanajos''; meaning "Buranovo Grannies") is an Udmurtian〔(Official website. ) Last part. Read 1 June 2012.〕 ethno-pop band containing eight elderly women. They are from the village of Buranovo (Brangurt), Udmurtia, halfway between the Volga and the Urals in Russia. Buranovskiye Babushki represented Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan where they finished second.〔〔 The band consists of eight "grandmothers", but only six were allowed to appear on the Eurovision stage due to contest rules. The band performs most of their songs in the Udmurt language.〔 ==Songs== Their other recorded songs include "Yesterday", "Let It Be" (The Beatles cover),"Smoke on the Water" (Deep Purple cover), "Hotel California" (Eagles cover), "The Star Called Sun" ("Звезда по имени Cолнце" (Zvezda po imeni Solnce), Kino cover), "I Am Beautiful", "Снег-снежок", "Chiborio" and "Бабушки-старушки".
